- REGISTRATION
- ------------
-
- The OPENCLOS package (containing OPEN, CLOSE, and FLUSH) is Copyright
- (c) 1990 by J. Weaver Jr., and is distributed as SHAREWARE. OPENCLOS
- is _not_ in the public domain. Permission is granted to use OPENCLOS
- free of charge for evaluation purposed for a period of two weeks or
- less. Permission is also granted to redistribute this archive in its
- complete, unaltered form. All other rights are reserved.
-
- If you use OPENCLOS for longer than two weeks, please register your
- copy. Registration is completely voluntary - this is a complete,
- "uncrippled" version of OPENCLOS, and will not suddenly "blow up",
- erase files, or cease to function if you don't register it. However,
- all of our income from OPENCLOS is derived from user registration
- fees: if you think it's worth using, isn't it worth registering, too?
-
- Please feel free to send any amount that you feel is fair
- compensation for the utility you receive from OPENCLOS. For your
- registration fee of $15 or more per copy, you can get technical
- support and assistance via GEnie Mail (address FACTPROG) and U.S.
- Mail.
-
- Corporate users may register 5 or more copies of OPENCLOS (including
- complete technical support for all copies, and one copy of the
- upgrade disk) for $10 per copy. Please register one copy of OPENCLOS
- for each person or computer that will be running the program
- simultaneously. Other site licensing plans are available for
- quantities of 20 or more - please write us for details.
-
- To register your copy of OPENCLOS, copy the registration form to your
- printer by typing "COPY REGISTER.NOW PRN" (without the quotes) at the
- DOS prompt. Fill in all the blanks - don't forget to choose your own
- 7-digit OPENCLOS registration number (which will be used for future
- correspondence and technical support), and to indicate the number of
- copies you wish to register. Enclose a check or money order payable
- to "Factory Programming" (DO NOT SEND CASH). Fold where indicated,
- seal with tape or staples, stamp, and mail.
-
- When your registration form and payment are received, you will be a
- registered OPENCLOS user. You must use your 7-digit registration
- number and the name that appears on the registration form in all
- correspondence. We regret that we cannot answer questions or
- otherwise assist OPENCLOS users who have not completed the
- registration process.
-
-
-
- FINE PRINT
- ----------
-
- OPENCLOS is distributed on an AS-IS basis. Factory Programming cannot
- be responsible for the failure of OPENCLOS to meet your expectations,
- or to perform some function or functions not specified in the
- documentation, or to be suitable for any particular purpose, or if
- the program itself is modified in any way (other than at our request
- or instruction). Furthermore, we cannot be responsible for any damage
- to your equipment, reputation, profit-making ability or mental or
- physical condition caused by the use (or misuse) of OPENCLOS.
-
- We also cannot guarantee that this package will work in conjunction
- with other hardware or software not available to the general public at
- the time that this package was released, or that we did not have
- access to, or with any special or custom modifications of available
- hardware or software, or with any versions of accompanying or
- required hardware or software other than those specified in the
- documentation.
-
- Under no circumstance will we be liable for an amount greater than
- your registration fee.
-
- Please note: some states do not allow limitations on how long an
- implied or express warrant lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of
- incidental or consequential damages, so some of the above limitations
- or exclusions may not apply to you.

-
- CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE
- --------------------------
-
- The programs in the OPENCLOS package were written on an AST
- Premium-286 (AT-class) computer, using NEC MultiSync and Amdek 310-A
- monitors. The source code was edited with BRIEF, and compiled with
- the Microsoft C compiler (v6.0), Macro Assembler (v4.0) and Linker
- (v5.1).
-
- Thanks to the beta testers, and extra special thanks to Tim Purves, as
- always.
