- Use TABIT to replace tab marks in ASCII files with spaces. This is useful
- when you use a wordprocessor, such as PC-WRITE which does not read tabs.
- TABIT will replace tabs with spaces as specified, however it does not do this
- variably, like a wordprocessor, but uniformly, for example 5 spaces for
- every tab.

- Also, use TABIT to replace long strings of spaces with tabs to compact files.
- This can used for compacting database files, which is the purpose it was
- originally written for.
