- 1. INTRODUCTION
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-

- samples to the PC Speaker or a variety of hardware from high level
- programs.
-

- o Soundblaster Pro/ Adlib Gold support.
-
-
- 2. USING MODRES
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Installing MODRES will take up about 11k of memory. MODRES can
- be loaded high (On machines supporting this). MODRES can also
- be fully de-installed, and it will free all memory it used.
- MODRES has been tested with DOS 5 and QEMM. MODRES will
- not work inside of DESQview or properly inside and other multitasking
- program such as Windows at present.
-
- To put MODRES into memory type
-
- C:\> MODRES
-
- To remove it type
-
- C:\> MODRES -d
-
-
-
- 3. OUTPUT DEVICES
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- Modres supports the following list of output devices
-
- * D/A converters on parallel ports. (See HARDWARE.DOC)
-
- * Stereo playback with two D/A converters on parallel ports
-
- * SoundBlaster board
-
- * PC Speaker
-
- * User Defined D/A converters (see next section)
-
- These devices can be selected from the program MODRES was
- distributed with (MODEDIT)
-
- If you have an output device you would like to see added,
- and you have programming information for it - please let me
- know.
-
-
-
- 4. USER DEFINED D/A CONVERTERS
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- A few people have home-built D/A converters at various addresses.
- To enable these to be supported MODRES has two commands. The
- first is for a single D/A converter. To start MODRES use
-
- C:\> MODRES -xmNNN where NNN is the address in Hex of your
- adaptor (example -xm37F)
-
- If you have two D/A converters, then you can use
-
- C:\> MODRES -xsNNNMMM where NNN and MMM are the addresses in Hex
- of your adaptors (eg -xs278370)
-
- De-install MODRES in the usual way,
-
-
- 5. DONATION
- ─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
-
- If you like MODRES and would like to see it used in more software,
- or perhaps with better links to MODEDIT then a donation would be
- welcome. The only reason I wrote MODRES was due to the responce
- from people using MODPLAY.
