- Here is a summary of the changes incorporated in ModEdit
- version 1.10.
-
- New features:
- -------------
-
- - Support for latest ModRes (v1.32), which now works with
- slower 10MHz machines and has options for faster 25MHz
- machines.
-
- - Ability to play single track from pattern editor.
-
- - Ability to load >64K samples.
-
- - Ability to load Startrekker 4-track modules.
-
- Changes:
- --------
-
- - The pattern and track playing options from within the
- pattern editor now play from the current cursor position
- instead of from the beginning of the pattern.
-
- - The "N" (play note) option for the pattern editor now plays
- the note with the proper volume (by using either the
- default sample volume or the argument of the "C" special
- command).
-
- - Lowercase filenames are now converted to uppercase for
- aesthetic consistency.
-
- - "Wipe all memory" now clears song the title also.
-
- - The "Play pattern" option of the pattern submenu has been
- eliminated; it was unnecessary since pressing "P" from
- within the pattern editor performs the same function.
-
- Bugs corrected:
- ---------------
-
- - Corrected bug that prevented loading of >32K samples.
-
- - Corrected bug that did not release directory memory when
- directory was called, leading to successively less memory.
-
- - Corrected bug that did not reset sample attributes when
- deallocating a sample. This could lead to strange results,
- saving null samples in the ModFile.
-
- - Corrected bug that prevented the note C 0 from
- transposing/being incremented/decremented with +, -, O, or
- o.
-
- - Corrected bug that prevented playing a newly created
- pattern immediately from within the pattern editor.
-
- - Corrected bug that asked for confirmation on load file,
- even when you had just saved the file.
-
- - Corrected bug that merged pathname and filename if either
- the ModFile directory or the Sample directory defaulted to
- the current directory.
