- ----------------
-
- ANSIPLAY is a very powerful utility which allows you to play
- customized music and/or sounds from your ANSI files while
- displaying them. The music/sound codes can be added to your
- file with your own text editing program.
-
- If you're familiar with BASIC's PLAY function, you already know
- how to use the music codes.
-
- Sound codes enable you to play sounds that are not available
- from music codes. You can specify Sound frequency, Duration,
- Number of times to repeat the sound, timed delay between sounds
- when repeated, and ability to vary the frequency each time it
- is repeated -- all in one command.
-
- ANSIPLAY will also enable you to pause the display for a set
- amount of time, or to require an [ENTER]-key keyboard inter-
- action to release the pause (good for tutorials, text, etc.)
-
- You can also tell ANSIPLAY to clear the screen before the
- display, or to disable the music (for late evenings).
-
- And there is a special feature for those who use off-line mail
- reading programs.
-
- Also included with the program package is PLAY.EXE which will
- either play the music string directly from the DOS prompt, or
- you can use the editor feature to edit/play the music string
- on-screen, then save it to file when you have it just right.
-
- If you need to remove the music strings, MUSCSTRP will create a
- duplicate of your ANSI file, but will strip the music strings.
-
- You can turn your ANSI files into a slide-show presentation
- with ANSIAUTO....which also allows for a set time delay between
- each file display. You determine in which order to display the
- files.
-
- For more advanced features of ANSIPLAY, there is also a brief
- tutorial included, and a few demonstration ANSI files.
-
- For anyone who likes ANSI, this program is a MUST!
