  6.     The copy of VP.EXE you have here is protected with VSAFE. You will
  7.     see it working each time you run VP! VP.EXE is also compressed to
  8.     its present size with LZEXE.

  10.     The files in the distribution .ZIP file are:

  13.     VP.EXE - 9985 bytes, 12/22/90 - 1:30 pm.  This is the installer.
  14.  
  15.     VSAFE.TPU - 2000 bytes, 12/22/90 - 1:28 pm. TP 5.0 Protection module.
  16.     VSAFE55.TPU - 2128 bytes, 12/24/90 - 8:28 am. TP 5.5 Protection module.
  17.     VSAFE60.TPU - 2128 bytes, 12/24/90 - 8:30 am. TP 6.0 Protection module.

  19.     VSAFE.DOC, and this read.me file.

  21.     Here are a few example installation steps that may be of help. All
  22.     of these assume that you have already added VSAFE.TPU to a USES
  23.     statement somewhere in your program.

  26.     1- Using LZEXE and an already compiled program:
  27.  
  28.     LZEXE MYPROG.EXE - Squish your executable compiled with VSAFE.
  29.  
  30.     VP MYPROG.EXE CMP - Tell VP that this program is squished.
  31.  
  32.     COPY MYPROG.OLD MYPROG.EXE - Copy the LZEXE .OLD file back to
  33.     your program name.
  34.  
  35.     VP - This tells VP to continue with the protection on a squished
  36.     program.
  37.  
  38.     Then just run your program!

  41.     2 - Using VSAFE with ANY Turbo Pascal program.
  42.  
  43.     VP MYPROG.EXE - That is all there is to it to validate the VSAFE
  44.     protection!!

  46.     Just a note, but you will have to re-install VSAFE after ANY
  47.     change you make to your program! So I suggest only using VSAFE
  48.     on a finished project just to avoid the extra work!
