  29. Pmcomm will be given special access with extended time, no
  30. upload/download ratio and access to a special file area, with the
  31. latest update of Pmcomm for one year.

  33. INSTALLATION
  34. ******NOTE********IMPORTANT******
  35. If you are installing this program from a previous version of Pmcomm
  36. please delete the setup.dat file before running Pmcomm. Pmcomm will
  37. re-create a file called setup.dat. This file contains the user
  38. configurable parameters and will also store different window
  39. sizes and positions on the screen.You will also have to rename your
  40. old dialing directory from dial.dat to pmcomm.fon.

  42. DIFFERENCES BETWEEN the DEMO and COMMERCIAL VERSIONS
  43.         Zmodem and Scripts have been disabled in the demonstration version.
  44. With the other protocols that are available and with the keyboard macros
  45. users should still find the program very usable. For the people that
  46. do find that Pmcomm does meet their needs and wish to purchase, then
  47. they will receive the additional the benefits of Zmodem and Scripts, as
  48. well as a printed manual. The commercial version also has a host mode
  49. that is written in REXX.

  51. RUNNING PMCOMM
  52.         Pmcomm you can either be run from the command line or
  53. installed in a Group menu. If installed in a Group menu enter the directory
  54. where the program resides as the working directory.When Pmcomm is first run
  55. it will try to use COM1 as the comport. If there is an error opening this
  56. comport(already open for example) you will be prompted for
  57. another comport. If you have just exited a comm program it may
  58. take a second or two before that comport becomes available. If
  59. this is the case just wait a second or so and try the same name
  60. again.

  62. ONLINE DOCUMENTATION
  63.         To view the online documentation type in "view pmcomm.inf" at
  64. an OS/2 prompt. This will use the help manager to display the online
  65. documentation. A text file of the documentation is not supplied in order
  66. to keep this demonstration program small.
