  1. The finger function allows you to request details of the known users on an 
  2. remote system and if a specific user is named then it will display the full
  3. details on that user. There are 4 formats of this command:-
  4. F               - on it's own gives the list of users at this site.
  5. F @<host>       - gives a list of users at a remote site.
  6. F <user>        - lists details of a user at this site.
  7. F <user>@<host> - lists details of a user at a remote site.
