- ADD-ON manager for View Mailer
- January 28, 1991
-
- ADD-ON is a program designed to allow future updates to the view
- mailer, without increasing the size of VIEW. With the ADD-ON
- manager, up to 10 external programs can be defined. Once a
- program has been defined, you can activate that program from
- within the VIEW mailer.
-
- You can execute ADD-ON from within View mailer, or as a stand-
- alone application in Dos. ALT-A will bring up the add-on manager
- from within View. ADD-ON.EXE must be in the \SPOOL directory if
- you want to have it as a View window. If you are running ADD-ON
- from dos, there are some command line paramters available:
-
- /B force black&white mode (default)
- /C force color mode
- /A run as an add-on application (windowed in application)
-
- Example from DOS for color system:
-
- C> ADD-ON /c
-
-
- When you specify an add-on, you must give the full dos path and
- filename. Command line paramters can be specified also. Any key
- can be bound to an application. For example, you could define
- 'T' to run your favourite terminal program.
-
- Other ADD-ON utilities include a Queue Manager, and a phone book
- manager for aliases/nicknames.
