  11.           UUPC/extended version 1.11q.  This was last updated on November
  12.           22, 1991 by Drew Derbyshire.

  17.           Kendra Electronic Wonderworks now offers the opportunity for you
  18.           to register your copy of UUPC/extended.  Here's why:
  19.  
  20.                As a reasonable guess, around 1200 hours of work have gone
  21.                into it here the Wonderworks.  This is a non-trivial amount.
  22.  
  23.                Most of the e-mail received outside the KEW.COM domain is
  24.                now related to UUPC/extended.  This, combined with the major
  25.                intra-domain e-mail requirements1 for KEW.COM soon going
  26.                away, UUPC/extended threatens to become its own perpetual
  27.                motion machine: we maintain UUPC/extended to stay in touch
  28.                with the outside world, and the outside world sends us mail
  29.                about maintaining UUPC/extended.

  31.                It is an accepted fact that the original UUPC was not
  32.                written by Kendra Electronic Wonderworks, and that others
  33.                have written numerous additional features include UUCP, UUX,
  34.                and pending features include support for the "f" protocol
  35.                and news.  What is not as clear is the work done here which
  36.                goes into integrating, and polishing these features; because
  37.                of work done here, people can take the work done all over
  38.                world and use it by unpacking a few files.
  39.  
  40.                Ryder rents trucks, Avis tries harder, MIT hacks the
  41.                Yale/Harvard game, and Kendra Electronic Wonderworks hunts
  42.                bugs.  Lots of bugs; bugs from the dawn of UUPC, bugs from
  43.                other people's code, and even bugs we introduced  (Ooops).
  44.                A second system is maintained here for the sole purpose of
  45.                providing downloading services to others via Kermit and
  46.                anonymous and for hunting bugs.  Only RAID kills more bugs.
  47.                We also integrate bug fixes from other people, so those few
  48.                files we give to others to unpack not only have more
  49.                features but also bug fixes.

  51.                Bug hunting can be a bitch, and writing documentation is
  52.                worse.  Kendra Electronic Wonderworks has done both gratis
  53.                for two years.  Beginning with release 1.11m, the
  54.
