  2. Third Party Products Testing Update (January 13-26, 1991)

  4. In our efforts to keep you as informed as possible on the status of
  5. current testing projects, we have compiled this report which
  6. provides information on compatibility issues with LANtastic and
  7. third party products. This report contains information only on
  8. current projects. If you are having problems with a product running
  9. on LANtastic, please contact our Technical Support staff at (602)
  10. 293-6363.  A current compatibility list and detailed technical
  11. bulletins on various third party products are available through our
  12. BBS at (602) 293-0065 and through our Artisoft Fax System at (602)
  13. 293-1397.  If you have any comments or suggestions about this
  14. update, the compatibility list or technical bulletins, they may be

  18. Ashton-Tate's dBASE IV 1.1 - We have been working with Ashton Tate 
  19. to resolve reported printing problems with dBASE IV 1.1; the process 
  20. should be completed shortly and we hope to be listed as a supported 
  21. network by Ashton Tate by the end of this month.  At that time a 
  22. detailed technical bulletin should be available.

  24. Digital Research DR DOS 5.0 - We have been working with Digital 
  25. Research to resolve reported problems with DR DOS 5.0. We are 
  26. currently testing this product but have encountered some difficulties. 
  27. If you are currently running DR DOS 5.0 over LANtastic successfully, 
  28. we would like to hear from you; that may be faxed or mailed to the 
  29. above address ATTN: DR DOS Testing.

  31. Microsoft Windows 3.0a - The long awaited update bulletin should be
  32. available this week.

  34. TCP/IP - We are currently researching all TCP/IP solutions, and are 
  35. in the process of working with two companies to provide a TCP/IP 
  36. solution for LANtastic: The Wollongong Group (WIN/TCP for DOS, 
  37. WIN/ROUTE) and FTP (PC/TCP for DOS). 1) FTP has tested their NetBIOS 
  38. and PC/TCP software with our adapter-independent network operating
  39. system. We are satisfied with the results so far and this product
  40. will be added to our compatibility list.  2.) We have done detailed
  41. testing with The Wollongong Group's WIN/TCP for DOS and our Network
  42. Operating System with our NetBIOS (both our 2mbps and ethernet
  43. adapters were tested).  A few minor problems have been encountered;
  44. we are currently working to provide an acceptable work around.

  46. MISC - A new compatibility list should be available this week. If you
  47. are using a software package successfully on LANtastic and you do not
  48. see it on our list, please let us know. Please fax or mail that
