- the functions of View can accessed through the menus, or by using
- the appropriate function key.

- For users of EGA or VGA systems, you can now have more text on the screen.
- To enable the 43/50 line mode, set the 25+ parameter on the configuration
- to Y. All functions will be resized to fit on a larger text window.

- View can be used with both color and monochrome monitors. Use the
- main configuration screen to set the color option.

- A mouse can be used to select a message. While moving the mouse, the
- window will scroll through the messages. The Left button selects the
- message, and the Right button displays a menu of functions. Mouse
- support is automatic if a mouse driver is loaded from DOS before
- starting the View mailer.

- Use Alt-A to activate the Add-On Manager. To start an application from
- within the mailer, use the key that corresponds to the scan code given.
- Up to 10 items can be defined.

- It is not a good idea to use certain keys as the application's hot key.
- Keys such as SPACEBAR, ENTER, plus any other key already in use by View
- should not be used as hot keys.

- Most keys, including Shifted, Alt, or Ctrl keys, can be used as hot keys.

- View has the ability to send messages to other users on the network. You
- must be logged into the server to read, or to send a message. Messages
- received while you are logged out will still be received ok. You will be
- notified when new mail is waiting in your mailbox.

- for this workstation.

- Users of the View mailer can send and receive mail from both Bitnet and
- Internet sites. All mail generated on our network is routed through
- ~ria.uwo.ca which is responsible for the whole campus. Ria is located
- in the Natural Sciences building and is operated by Computing and
- Comunications Services.
