[FUNCTION KEYS,BLACK]
The `F1' to `F10' keys are used to save typing
common sentences, such as `NORMAN HERE GA'.

Use ALT-F1 to edit `F1' string. This is the
same for the other function keys (`F2' to
`F10'). If you forget which function key to
press, you just look at this screen and
press `Esc' key to return.

Use `#' to send a file. EXAMPLE:' `#JOE.TXT'
Use `*' to add automatic time-greeting message.

             to act like a toll saver. Save a quarter from a pay-phone
             if there is no message. How? Hang up before the

             is a message on the new-message ring count.
`     SELECT:' Selects message # to be sent when auto-answering. If
             "random" is chosen, #1, #2, or #3 will be sent.
`   MESSAGES:' Outgoing messages to be sent.
`BYE MESSAGE:' Sends 'goodbye' message before hanging up.

You can also use Notes mode to practice calling Futura in Remote
Retrieval mode, so when you call away from home, you'll know how to
do it the first time. To practice, be sure the remote is turned on
in the remote setup and enter Notes Mode, then type in the password
you defined in Remote Retrieval Setup. If you've forgotten it, go
back to the Setup Menu, select R for Remote Retrieval, and check
your password. Then return to Notes Mode and enter the password
with a ? at the end `(nothing after the "?")' and wait 3 seconds -
like this - `PASSWORD?'. The Remote Retrieval simulation will begin.
Enter a ? or "help ga" to get this list of commands you can use

   and leave two messages to respond to your co-workers. You can
   then hang up and your office system will continue collecting
   messages for you.

Look at the TDD modem and determine what model it is. If
you do not have a TDD modem, you can choose the demo to "fake"
TDD communication (no actual TDD on-line calls).

`TOUCHTONE:' If your  hone supports touchtone dialing, choose this.
`PULSE:' If your phone cannot accept touchtone, use this.
`PHONE-TTY OWNERS:' Try fast dialing speed. Test it first before
                  calling others. If this fails, use normal dialing speed.

[SERIAL SETUP,Black]

You will need to determine which port the device is plugged in to by
looking at the back of your computer or looking in the manual. The
common settings are `COM1' and `COM2'.

This will send anything from review, on-line, or Caller-ID

`X': Cancel review-sending.
`O': Send only your (or this computer's) typing.
`U': Send only another person's typing.
`B': Send all typing.

[HAYES INFO,Black]
The standard Hayes or compatiable modem does not work with
Baudot, a popular mode for deaf users. Baudot speaks to Baudot.
ASCII speaks to ASCII. So, a Hayes modem speaks in ASCII
only. Very few TDDs have an ASCII option. Be sure to check it
with a deaf friend. In other words, be sure the other side
is using 300 ASCII Baud. Some Hayes modems may not work.

[PRINTER ROUTING,Black]
`P': Prints to a printer.
`F': Prints to a file. A file name will be asked next.

[NORMAL/HIGH,Black]
If your modem is having trouble receiving data correctly
or using non-standard phone system such as analog PBX
