  2. This package is an MsDOS executable release of
  3. mawk 1.1, an interpreter for the AWK programming
  4. language as defined in Aho, Kernighan and Weinberger,
  5. "The AWK Programming Language", Addison-Wesley, 1988.
  6. Mawk 1.1 is posix 1003.2 draft 11.2 compliant.

  8. Version 1.1 has pipes and system() for MsDOS.
  9.  
  10. The complete source code for mawk 1.1 can be obtained
  11. free from comp.sources.reviewed, volume01 or
  12. by anonymous ftp from oxy.edu in ftp/public/mawk1.1.tar.Z.

  14. Mawk is copyrighted 1991 by Michael D. Brennan.
  15. Mawk is distributed without warranty under the terms of the
  16. GNU General Public Licence, version 2, June 1991.
