  1. These are the patches for compiling flex 2.3.x with
  2. MSC 6.0.  Most of them are only necessary because of
  3. a serious bug in that compiler's register allocation
  4. algorithm.

  6. This version of flex has some problems with the
  7. uncompressed tables.  But there's no point in wasting
  8. time on this, since these scanners are probably too
  9. large for MS-DOS anyway.

  11. The makefile is my own makefile, do with it what you
  12. like (it will probably only work with GNU make).

  14. Please note that I do *not* maintain the MS-DOS port
  15. of flex, Vern Paxson *is* susceptible to suggestions
  16. for MS-DOS and the patches in this archive will
  17. probably go into flex 2.4.
