- CW30.ZIP: CoreWars version 3.0
- ------------------------------
-
- This archive contains the executable and documentation for an implementation of
- the game Core War, as described by A.K. Dewdney in his Computer Recreations
- column of Scientific American and in his book, The Armchair Universe. Versions
- of this program have been used during the summers of 1989 and 1990 by high
- school students in the Governor's Honors Program at Valdosta State College,
- Valdosta GA. It's gotten a pretty good workout so it's fairly robust (I hope).
-
- It has been run under DOS 3.3 and DOS 4.01, on 8088, 80286, and 80386 machines.
- It uses either CGA or VGA (default); to make it use CGA, invoke it with the
- command "CW30 CGA".
-
- This version has been extended in some interesting ways, especially the PCI
- instruction which was suggested by Ben Combee, one of my students this summer.
-
- Have fun.
