  1. CHEMICAL DESIGN INCREASES DATABASE MARKETING

  3. Chemical Design has recently reached an agreement with Derwent to market
  4. the Standard Drugs File (SDF) containing information and coordinates for
  5. approximately 30,000 3-D structures. This new addition to 3-D databases
  6. available from Chemical Design complements the existing Chapman & Hall 3-D
  7. databases currently marketed by Chemical Design.

  9. The SDF database contains a number of text fields including references, CAS
  10. number, keywords, and activity-related descriptions, in addition to 3-D
  11. coordinates. The data contained are essential for drug identification and
  12. design, structure/activity investigations, monitoring, etc. Searching the
  13. database is easy using Chemical Design's ChemDBS-3D module to generate
  14. search queries and provide fast 3-D searching. Integration with Chem-X
  15. provides the means for direct detailed modelling studies on search
  16. results.

  18. The Derwent Standard Drug file is also available for use with other
  19. database software, including MACCS-3D. It may be obtained from Chemical
  20. Design on a yearly subscription basis.
