  1. CNC Innovations, Inc. has introduced EASYTALK MULTI-PORT featuring PC based
  2. DNC operations for up to 64 machine controls, machine control activated
  3. remote operations, simultaneous full screen editing, and 32 character file
  4. naming conventions. EASYTALK MULTIPORT is the latest product in the
  5. EASYTALK series of DNC solutions ranging from portable systems and tape
  6. replacement products to Multi-Tasking DNC host systems with LAN
  7. integration facilities.

  9. EASYTALK MULTI-PORT utilizes the output abilities of a machine control to
  10. invoke program download/upload operations. This approach eliminates the
  11. expense of separate shop floor terminals and increases operator efficiency
  12. by eliminating the need for an operator to walk back and forth to the host
  13. or a remote terminal. The built-in File Handler allows the user to select
  14. files either by DOS name or by extended 32 character name. All functions,
  15. including the NC specific editor, system configuration, and system
  16. administration, may be accessed concurrently with the DNC operations.

  18. Each port on the system may be independently configured for either RS232 or
  19. RS422 signal protocol. For older controls, CNC Innovations, Inc. offers a
  20. full line of tape emulation products to allow the controls to be linked
  21. into the MULTI-PORT system. EASYTALK MULTI-PORT may be connected to most
  22. local area networks including those running under UNIX and VAX as well as
  23. DOS.
