  1. April 13, 1992 -- Dalanco Spry is pleased to announce the Model 500 Digital
  2. Signal Processing Board with Analog and Digital l/O. The Model 500 is
  3. designed for the PC AT and ISA bus compatible microcomputers.
  4.  
  5. Applications include Data Acquisition, Instrumentation and Control, Speech
  6. and Audio, as well as general purpose DSP software development.
  7.  
  8. The Model 500 is based upon the TI TMS320C51 20 Mips DSP Processor. It
  9. provides data acquisition for 8 channels at 12 bit resolution and a
  10. maximum 225 Khz sampling rate. Two 12 bit analog output channels are also
  11. provided, as are a buffered digital l/O connector for user expansion, and
  12. the two serial interfaces of the Tl DSP.

  14. The board is populated with 64K words of Program RAM and 128K words of
  15. dual-ported Data RAM. The dual-ported architecture enables the creation of
  16. applications requiring simultaneous mathematical calculations coupled with
  17. concurrent analog and disk l/O.

  19. The Model 500 features high throughput to the host PC's memory (up to 3
  20. MBytes/sec) and disk, and multiple boards may be accommodated within a
  21. single system.

  23. Depending on the host system, data may be written to or read from disk at
  24. the maximum sampling rate of 225 Khz.
