  1. The China Association for Science and Technology (CAST) is sponsoring a
  2. pavilion with high tech companies from China offering new technology and
  3. services to the World market at COMPUEXPO this September 21-24 at the Las
  4. Vegas Convention Center.

  6. "This marks the first time China has sponsored such an event in the United
  7. States," explained COMPUEXPO Chairman, Allen Yu. "We're very excited about
  8. China's involvement in COMPUEXPO. With all the changes in China's market
  9. and their increasing role in the high tech community today, I feel this
  10. pavilion will be of great interest to many attendees of COMPUEXPO."

  12. CAST is a group of 146 national professional societies and the local
  13. science and technology associations in basic sciences, engineering,
  14. agricultural and medicine.

  16. The pavilion is going to be made up of 24 high technology companies from
  17. China highlighting their new products and services. The products on
  18. display will range from state of the art board level products, storage and
  19. peripherals to 486/386/286 systems, along with networking and
  20. communications as well.

  27. Chicago: Gordon Campbell, President and CEO of Chips and Technology, Inc.,
  28. of San Jose, California, will serve as a Keynote Speaker at COMPUEXPO 92.
  29. Chips and Technology, Inc., by creating the first industry standard
  30. personal computer "chipset", was a pioneer in the creation of the IBM
  31. PC-compatible marketplace. Chips and Technology has since expanded its
  32. family of PC system logic and graphics semiconductors to include a family
  33. of Intel-compatible microprocessors.

  36. new paradigm. Today, end users have a choice of multiple processor
  37. architectures, graphics technologies, operating systems, and system
  38. definitions. COMPUEXPO reflects this diversity of new channels,

  40. invitation to speak at the first COMPUEXPO.
