  2. Software Developers Get Head Start on 32-Bit Windows-based Applications

  5. As part of the Open Process forum, Microsoft Corporation has announced the
  6. release of detailed programming information on the Microsoft Win32'
  7. application programming interface in the Microsoft WIN32 APPLICATION
  8. PROGRAMMING INTERFACE: THE PROGRAMMER'S REFERENCE from Microsoft Press.

  10. Win32 is the new Microsoft Windows 32-bit application programming interface
  11. (API) supported by the Windows NT' operating system. Available to users
  12. later this year, Windows NT will offer the same user interface as Windows
  13. and will have the ability to run all existing applications for the
  14. Microsoft Windows and MS-DOS operating systems. Windows NT will offer
  15. advanced operating system features needed for specialized applications,
  16. high-performance networks, and advanced workstations.
