  9. Hi, this is Eric Hsiao, the creator of GIF News.  In the  November 1991
  10. issue, I mentioned a seperate December 1991 issue.  Unfortunately, that
  11. issue was never released.  The main  reason behind this was  because we
  12. had hoped to have the AdLib Gold Card  to review for our feature story.
  13. However,  due to hardware chip problems,  the Gold Card was delayed, so
  14. we were unable  to provide a full review.   Secondly,  with the Thanks-
  15. giving  Holiday and busy schedules  around here,  we were unable to get
  16. all  the articles together  in time for a separate  December issue.  We
  17. apologize sincerely for this.  
  18.    Anyway,  we hope you like the January/February issue.  Here are some
  19. of the headlines you will find inside:

  57. Also, interested in megs of TrakBlaster .MOD files without the  cost of 
  58. downloading them long distance? Read the file GN-DISKS.TXT for an offer 
  59. you can't refuse.  MOD files can also be played using programs such  as
  60. ModPlay 2.0, JMPlayer, Registered Scream Tracker, Tetra Composer,   and
  61. other programs capable of handling the Amiga NoiseTracker sound format.

  63.     Special  note  to  Internet  readers:  If you  would  like  to be a
  64. GIF News  subscriber,  just  send me  E-mail  and I will add you to the 
  65. mailing list.  GIF News  will be  uuencoded and sent to you via E-mail.  
  66. Many  uudecoders exist  for both unix and ms-dos platforms.  If you are 
  67. unable  to handle  the .ZIP format  on your machine,  let me know and I
  68. will send you the file in an LZH, ZOO, or ARC archive.
  69.     Also, if you're anonymously FTP'ing, and come across some files you 
  70. think  might be  GIF News.  You can  easily tell  which issue  is up by 
  71. looking at the filename.  For example, the filename is:

  73.     gn92-01.zip  <-- The gn stands for GIF News, the 92 re-
  74.                      presents the year, and the 01 is the
  75.                      month (January in this case).
  76.  
  77. So be sure to look for gn92-03.zip in the beginning of March.
