- GIF News' first contest where you can win something!

- Welcome to the first GIF News contest. The contest itself is located
- on the VGA page - GN9107V5.GIF

- Basically, your to find correctly my name which appears in several places
- in the picture. The first 5 people I hear from who answers correctly
- win the GIF News Fun Disk (wow!) - I'll get back to what's on the disk
- in a moment. First let me give you some details & rules on this contest:

- 1. So people who have access to the Internet don't have an unfair
- advantage, all entries must be US-Mailed, postmarked no later than
- August 11, 1991. Send it to Address #1, given in GN9107.TXT

- 2. After the first 5 people have be chosen, an additional 3 entries
- will be picked at random to also win the "Fun Disk".

- 3. Along with your entry, please write down where you get GIF News
- from (i.e. BBS name & phone #, Internet FTP site, user group, etc.)

- 4. Also with your entry, please write down one (1) Bulletin Board
- name & phone number that you uploaded GIF News to. If you don't
- have a modem, just write down: No modem

- 5. Anyone of any age can enter

- 6. The first 5 people who win will immediately have their "Fun Disk"
- mailed to them, so be sure to include your Name, Address, & Phone #,
- with your entry. The 3 Random people will be picked on August 20,
- 1991, and will have their prize immediately mailed to them.

- So, what exactly is on this "Fun Disk"? That's really up to you to
- decide. Actually, each winner gets 2 disks - either 2 1.2 megs 5.25"
- or 2 1.44 megs 3.5". These are MS-DOS only disks, so sorry all you
- Amiga & Mac owners :-(...anyway, you decide what goes on these disks.
- You have the following options:
- Option 1: The SoundBlaster Disk #1 - A disk filled with .MOD files for
- your TrakBlaster program
- Option 2: The SoundBlaster Disk #2 - More .MOD files to keep your
- TrakBlaster happy for a long time.
- Option 3: VGA/MCGA Animations Archives - A bunch of .FLI & .GL
- animations (sorry - no X-rated ones)
- Option 4: GIF Galore - Hi-res SVGA GIF's pictures of art, scenery,
- cities, and more. (again, no nudes)
- Option 5: GIF News - All the back issues that can fit on the disk,
- starting with the first issue - November/December 1988.
