  2.             GIF News' first contest where you can win something!

  4.     Welcome to the first GIF News contest.  The contest itself is located
  5.     on the VGA page - GN9107V5.GIF
  6.  
  7.     Basically, your to find correctly my name which appears in several places
  8.     in the picture.  The first 5 people I hear from who answers correctly
  9.     win the GIF News Fun Disk (wow!) - I'll get back to what's on the disk
  10.     in a moment.  First let me give you some details & rules on this contest:
  11.       
  12.       1. So people who have access to the Internet don't have an unfair
  13.       advantage, all entries must be US-Mailed, postmarked no later than
  14.       August 11, 1991. Send it to Address #1, given in GN9107.TXT
  15.       
  16.       2. After the first 5 people have be chosen, an additional 3 entries
  17.       will be picked at random to also win the "Fun Disk".
  18.  
  19.       3. Along with your entry, please write down where you get GIF News
  20.       from (i.e. BBS name & phone #, Internet FTP site, user group, etc.)
  21.  
  22.       4. Also with your entry, please write down one (1) Bulletin Board
  23.       name & phone number that you uploaded GIF News to.  If you don't
  24.       have a modem, just write down: No modem
  25.  
  26.       5. Anyone of any age can enter
  27.  
  28.       6. The first 5 people who win will immediately have their "Fun Disk"
  29.       mailed to them, so be sure to include your Name, Address, & Phone #,
  30.       with your entry.  The 3 Random people will be picked on August 20,
  31.       1991, and will have their prize immediately mailed to them.

  33.       So, what exactly is on this "Fun Disk"?  That's really up to you to
  34.       decide.  Actually, each winner gets 2 disks - either 2 1.2 megs 5.25"
  35.       or 2 1.44 megs 3.5".  These are MS-DOS only disks, so sorry all you
  36.       Amiga & Mac owners :-(...anyway, you decide what goes on these disks.
  37.       You have the following options:
  38.         Option 1: The SoundBlaster Disk #1 - A disk filled with .MOD files for
  39.                   your TrakBlaster program
  40.         Option 2: The SoundBlaster Disk #2 - More .MOD files to keep your
  41.                   TrakBlaster happy for a long time.
  42.         Option 3: VGA/MCGA Animations Archives - A bunch of .FLI & .GL 
  43.                   animations (sorry - no X-rated ones)
  44.         Option 4: GIF Galore - Hi-res SVGA GIF's pictures of art, scenery,
  45.                   cities, and more. (again, no nudes)
  46.         Option 5: GIF News - All the back issues that can fit on the disk,
  47.                   starting with the first issue - November/December 1988.

  49.       So on your entry, be sure to write down which two options you would
  50.       want if you win.
