  76.             PCXview is an off-line viewer for PCX image files on IBM

  99.             PCXview uses a simple vertical menu for displaying PC image
  100.             file names in conjunction with function keys to
  101.             select/view/print images.

  105.             PCXview is user supported software.  All suggestions for
  106.             improvements and or modifications will be examined and
  107.             implemented if they are deemed appropriate.

  111.             PCXview is the copyrighted property of RayLyn Company.
  112.             PCXview may not be modified by anyone other than the author.
  113.             PCXview is licensed for non-commercial use on one machine at
  114.             a time for the cost of $10.00 (U.S. Dollars), outside of
  115.             U.S. or Canada registration fee is $20.00 (U.S. Dollars).

  117.             The Shareware Version (PCXview V1.XXs) may be distributed to
  118.             others only in its complete, unmodified form, with no fee
  119.             charged other than a fee for media and duplication.  No
  120.             matter how you received your copy of PCXview, you are
  121.             obligated to pay for a license after the 10 day trial
  122.             period.  PCXview Version 1.XXr (Registered) may not under
  123.             any circumstances be distributed as shareware.  It is for
  124.             use solely by the licensee and any violation of this
  125.             agreement is a violation of United States Copyright laws.

  159.             7. Using PCXview
  160.             PCXview is started by entering -

  169.             8. PCXview Screen
  170.             PCXview main screen will display a menu of PCX image file
  171.             names in path indicated.  The lower portion of the screen
  172.             displays function keys.

  175.             9. Tagging Files
  176.             Using the vertical menu, the user may select any file by
  177.             either pressing the ENTER key or SPACE BAR.  The file is
  178.             then marked (tagged) with a check mark.

  180.             Shortcut:
  181.             Pressing the first letter of the image file name will
  182.             automatically move the highlight bar to the desired file
  183.             name.

  185.             After you have selected one or more image files, you simple
  186.             press one of the function keys corresponding to the desired
  187.             action.

  189.             If you have selected more than one image file, simple press
  190.             the space bar to continue on to the next file selected.

  192.             The ESC key will force the PCXview to exit the program or
  193.             the abort the function.

  208.             F2-Information
  209.             The INFO key (F2) displays a window with the following:
  210.             -Dimensions
  211.             -Resolution
  212.             -Image Type *
  213.             -Size
  214.             -Date
  215.  
  216.             * If an '*' asterisk appears after image type (640x200x2*)
  217.             this indicates that PCXview had problems determining the
  218.             proper image type and color attributes.  This also indicates
  219.             that PCXview may have difficulty displaying the image.

  222.             F3-Print
  223.             Selecting the Print key (F3) will allow you to print any
  224.             black and white PCX image file to your Epson or compatible
  225.             dot matrix printer.  By default LPT1 is used.

  228.             F4-Copy
  229.             The Copy key (F4) allows you to copy any files selected to a
  230.             desired destination.

  233.             F10-View
  234.             The View key (F10) allows you to view the image files
  235.             selected.  If you have selected more than one file, pressing
  236.             the space bar will allow you to view the next file.

  239.             In the future, the developer of PCXview intends to
  240.             investigate additional goals for the program.  These include
  241.             printing to HP Laser Printers, color manipulation, image
  242.             shrinking, displaying of multiple images, EMS support,
  243.             Network Support and Database capabilities.
