  4. Several types of maps and diagrams can be displayed by the OzGIS program.
  5.  
  6. The type required has to be selected from the main OzGIS menu.

  9.        Attribute maps                                    
  10.        --------------

  12.      There are one or two streams of attribute processing for the types of      
  13. maps available for zone, line and site attribute data:                          
  14.                                                                                 
  15.      -  zones map e.g. display of Census data
  16.      -  lines map e.g. display of traffic densities on roads
  17.      -  sites map e.g. display on number of childred at schools
  18.      -  two zone streams i.e. bivariate maps
  19.      -  zones and lines 
  20.      -  zones and sites

  23.        Geographic (GIS) maps
  24.        ---------------------

  26. Maps can be displayed that show geographic data without attribute data i.e.     
  27. polygons, lines, names at points and symbols at points.                         
  28.                                                                                 
  29. Where the data are preclassified, feature codes can be used to subset the files  
  30. for display.

  33.           Diagrams

  36. Distributions, sorted values and quantisation results can be displayed as full  
  37. screen diagrams for one or two attribute files. Scatter diagrams can be         
  38. displayed for two files.

  40. You can change attributes and quantisation in the usual ways (and type F3 to    
  41. show the results).

  43.        Saved displays

  46. Maps can be saved on files and recalled later.

  51. This option enables a set of saved display files to be defined for              
  52. demonstrations.

  54. An Ascii file is set up that gives the names of the saved display files and     
  55. menu lines that are associated with them.
