  10. LAYER is like the ADD option, except the addition
  11. happens only on your screen, not in the picture file. 
  12. The end user will not see the double exposure effect. 
  13. LAYER is good for lining up animations, or for aligning
  14. picture parts from various files.  You can make a
  15. special layer picture that is a grid or template for
  16. your animations, then LAYER it over your current
  17. picture. This will help you line up whatever you ADD
  18. next.  When you REDRAW the picture, the LAYERed on part
  19. goes away.
