- Tame will speed up many programs when you are using a multi-tasking
- environment. It has direct support for DESQview, Windows, Double Dos,
- Omniview, Topview and VM/386.
-
- Tame will also allow many programs which are DESQview-aware
- to become aware of other supported multi-tasking systems.

- word processors.

-
- If you are upgrading from version 2.5:
- --------------------------------------
-
- If you were experiencing choppy output or jumpy keys with the old
- version of Tame, try this version. A new /Boost option should reduce
- or remove that experience.
-
- The new /BOOST switch defaults to being on, so if Tame is not as
- effective as it was, try /BOOST:2,0 to disable activity boosting, or
- /BOOST:0 to completely disable it.
-
-
- If you are upgrading from version 2.4:
- --------------------------------------
-
- If you are running Windows and running a DESQview-aware program, you may
- use the new /DVAWARE switch to remove some of the guesswork in tameing
- the program.
-
-
- If you are upgrading from version 2.3:
- --------------------------------------
-
- This version now supports Windows, so if you use Windows you may wish to
- try Tame in that environment. Tame can be much more effective than the
- idle detection that is built into Windows.
-
-
- If you are upgrading from version 2.2:
- --------------------------------------
-
- This version has a few more options, and provides better timing statistics.
- To run with the same parameters as the version 2.2 defaults, specify
- /KeyIdle, but this is not recommended in DESQview 2.26 if the task will
- spend a lot of time waiting at a DOS prompt.
-
-
- If you are upgrading from version 2.1:
- --------------------------------------
-
- This version has many new options, making Tame even more effective at
- reducing Multi-tasking overhead. To run with the same parameters as
- the version 2.1 defaults, specify /Max:3,2 /KI:0
-
-
- If you are upgrading from version 2.0:
- --------------------------------------
-
- You may need to use the new /INT15 option with some programs. Since
- this has been found to lock up some machines, it is no longer the
- default.
-
-
- If you are upgrading from version 1.x:
- --------------------------------------
-
- 1. Place the appropriate TAME-RES and TAME command in your DV window
- startup .BAT file (or run the program with TAME-RUN.BAT)
-
- 2. Remove or modify special BAT files calling the previous TAME
-
- 3. Delete the TAME and TAMEPATH environment values if you used them
