  5. There are multiple sources, ranging in cost from free to hundreds of
  6. dollars.  For free, there are DVINT, a DESQview//QEMM-specific excerpt of
  7. the MSDOS interrupt list, which lists the API calls; and DVGLUE, a
  8. somewhat dated (August 1988) freeware library for Turbo C which
  9. implements almost all of the DESQview 2.01 API (the then-current
  10. version).  Both are available on DVNet and other repositories of
  11. DESQview-specific programs /JB(see Q7)/q7.txt/.

  15. Quarterdeck sells a number of products for programming the DESQview API,
  16. such as an API reference manual (~$60) and various language-specific
  17. libraries (C, Pascal, Dbase, etc., ~$200 each including the reference
  18. manual).  In addition, Quarterdeck also sells a panel designer (~$150),
  19. debugger (~150), and other tools /JB(see Q19)/q19.txt/.  The whole toolkit costs
  20. about $500.  Third party books are also available /JB(see Q20)/q20.txt/.

  24. X Windows libraries for DESQview//X are also available from Quarterdeck.
  25. The pre-release version is about $500.  The DESQview//X API, which is not
  26. completely compatible with the DESQview API, will be available soon.

  31. DOS//4GX 16- and 32-bit protected mode development kit which supports
  32. Microsoft C and Metaware High C 32-bit.
