  5. DESQview Classic can multitask programs on an 8088, 8086, 80286,
  6. 80386sx, 80386dx, 80486sx, 80486dx, V20 or V30.   DVX386 will only run
  7. on an 80386sx or better.

  19. memory board and are able to disable some conventional memory, DVC
  20. will remap expanded memory to conventional memory addresses to

  26. All-Charge Card or a SOTA POP card, it will provide the memory
  27. mapping needed to allow DVC to multitask programs beyond 640K.

  32. management chip, DVC will still multitask as many programs as

  37. Besides the memory problem, on a machine less than an 80386 and
  38. without QEMM, DESQview will not be able to run programs in a small
  39. window or in the background if the program writes directly to video
  40. memory /JB(see Q2)/q2.txt/. If the program has a switch to allow BIOS screen
  41. output, use it, or convince the programmer to make the program
  42. DESQview-aware /JB(see Q3)/q3.txt/.

  48. /ML4/DV386 (or the combination of DESQview and QEMM /JB(see Q2)/q2.txt/) and DVX386
  49. will multitask programs in all of the available extended memory.

  52. /ML-4/Although DVC can multitask on any machine, the minimum suggested
  53. configuration is an 80386sx with 2 megabytes of memory and QEMM.  For
  54. breathing room, at least 4 megabytes of memory is suggested.

  58. DVX386 requires at least 4 megabytes and an 80386sx.  Eight megabytes of
  59. memory is roughly equivalent to 4 megabytes under DVC.
