  6. First of all, take a look at the manual.  This may seem obvious, but
  7. you'd be surprised at the number of people that post problems which they
  8. could have solved themselves by glancing at the manual.

  12. If you still can't figure it out, post a complete description of your
  13. problem.  Don't just say, for example, ``foo.exe doesn't run''.  Be
  14. specific.  Post the Change A Program screens, or portions of
  15. AUTOEXEC.BAT or CONFIG.SYS if relevant.  But use some restraint.  Don't
  16. post 18 pages of system configuration information just because you can't
  17. get foo.exe to print ``Hello, world''.
