  2.    S - Select Message Areas.
  3.  
  4.        With this option, you can select or deselect the areas you wish to
  5.        scan for mail. This gives you the ability to limit the many possible
  6.        mail message you can receive.
  7.  
  8.    K - Define Key Words for Mail Searching.
  9.  
  10.        With this option, you can select key words, phrases, or people you
  11.        wish to read mail or join in conversations. You will always get mail
  12.        address to you personally. But with keywords, you can include mail
  13.        such as mail to "ALL", and "DR. DEBUG", subject areas such as
  14.        "HELP", "OS/2", or anything else. Upto 50 Keywords can be defined.

  16.    T - Define Transfer Protocol
  17.  
  18.        This option will list the available file transfer protocols for
  19.        selection.  Use your favorite transfer protocol for downloading
  20.        and uploading messages.

  25.    A - Define Method of Compression/Expansion.
  26.  
  27.        This option will list the available archiver programs on the
  28.        system.  Select your favorite archiver for compression and
  29.        expanding mail.

  31.        Your sysop has provided a list of available archiver programs.
  32.        Archivers are programs that compress and expand data. This allows
  33.        for reduction in transfer time.   Xpress will use the archiver that
  34.        you choose from this list to compress and expand the mail.

  36.        Choose the one you would like to use and INTEND to use on your PC.
  37.        For instance, if you like the new PKZIP archiver, choose PKZIP from
  38.        the list and configure your xpress reader to use the PKZIP.

  43.    X - Toggle menu from detail help (novice) to expert (Hot key letters).

  47.    G - Graphics On/Off
  48.  
  49.        This will determine the ansi graphic setting on entry to the
  50.        program. With ANSI on, cute coloriful menus will appear, but
  51.        can be viewed as slow for power users.

  53.    M - Menu Hot Keys On/OFF
  54.  
  55.        This option allows you to select the method of using the OpXpress
  56.        menus. Menu Hot Keys is the SINGLE LETTER input without the need to
  57.        hit a carriage return. In addition, no correction is allowed once a
  58.        letter is hit. When the Menu Menu Hot Keys is off, you have to hit
  59.        the menu character following by the carriage return. In the off
  60.        state, a empty input line <CR> will return you to the previous menu.

  62.    L - Change last usage date.
  63.  
  64.        The last usage date is normally used only if you want to change the
  65.        scan date for new FIDONET message areas only.  This date has no
  66.        effect on RBBS message areas.

  69.    Y - Receive your own mail.
  70.  
  71.        This option allows you to include your most recent mail in your
  72.        mail package. This is the mail from yourself to others.
