- This release of FMSUTL is a maintenance release.
-
- I found a bug in it that would stop with an error at address 2E4D:0C2D.
- This was caused by my DIR.CAT file containing more than 25 lines.
-
- This release corrects that problem and adds the ability to list up to
- 224 categories on the screen at the same time. Granted just the category
- codes you have chosen are displayed, but, this should not cause too big
- of a problem as the codes should be familiar to you anyway. I keep a hard
- copy of my DIR.CAT at the computer anyway in the event I think up a new
- category to confuse my users with.
-
- I know of another bug in the program and it will be fixed, most likely,
- by the time you read this. Nevertheless, this release will not read the
- last entry in your Master listing and your uploaded files listing into
- the arrays. This can be accounted for by appending a cursor return/line
- feed sequence after the last entry in both files. Adding this CR/LF to
- the Master file, however, causes the new descriptions to follow the
- CR/LF and not immediately following the last previous entry. This causes
- the end result to be a blank line in the master file which you will have
- to delete. As I have said, it will be gone by the time you read this, so
- start looking for 2.0c or 2.1a soon.

-
- Release 2.0c
-
- This, again is a maintenance release.
-
- I took out the registration routines so the config files you were using
- with the older releases will have to be changed slightly. Just do away
- with the first line and then they should work fine.
-
- I also added what was an obvious oversight on my part. The older versions
- would only append the information to an existing FMS listing while scanning
- the upload directory and create a new file while scanning the download
- directory. This version will allow you to use either for either appending
- or creating a new listing.
-
- I'm still pounding away at the CR/LF problem mentioned above. Hopefully it
- will be gone in the next release (2.1a).
-
- 2.1a also will be the first to include a batch mode so it may be a while
- in the making. It will allow you to automatically move files from one
- directory to another and, hopefully, call the RBBS utilities to check the
- files for integrity.
-
- If you have some ideas about what I should do with this please feel free
- to contact me at the address listed in the docs. I am always looking for
- a good idea.
