  4. OPERATIONS

  10. CONFLICT OF INTEREST.   This board and its sysop have no ties
  11.    to any commercial product, and derive no financial benefit
  12.    from any recommendations made.
  13.    
  14. PROPRIETARY Programs.  This board supports only open architecture,
  15.    non-proprietary programs, which require no licensing fees of
  16.    shareware authors who wish to develop better versions.  No
  17.    proprietary programs will be supported or aided by this BBS,
  18.    which is dedicated to the public domain and public service.
  19.    This policy applies across the board to graphics, the format of
  20.    stored files, file transfer protocols, as well as to the BBS
  21.    software.
  22.       ZIP files are preferred over "ARC" files, which is a
  23.    proprietary format owned and licensed by SEA.
  24.    
  25. NEW CALLERS.  Immediate, full, free access on first call.  No
  26.    verification.
  27.  
  28. QUESTIONNAIRES.  Information collected from users is not shared
  29.    with others nor sold, and is for the private use of the
  30.    sysop.

  32. ALIASES.  Okay to use.  Only ask that you be willing to reveal to
  33.    sysop who you really are.   You must, however, must use at most
  34.    1 id on this system.   Do not register under more than 1 name.

  36. SEXUAL MATERIALS.  Sexually oriented uploads are/are not welcome.

  38. GAMES.  Welcome.  But only games that can be freely distributed please.

  40. DOWNLOADING.  Free to download as much and as often as you like.
  41.    Nothing asked in return, no penalties for heavy downloading.
  42.    No ratios to maintain.

  44. UPLOAD FORMAT.   This board runs like a free market, in which people
  45.    are free to upload files in whatever format they prefer, as long
  46.    as the files are compressed.   The preferred format is ZIP, but
  47.    ARC, ZOO, PAK and others are acceptable.

  49. UPLOAD MODIFICATION.   This board does not modify uploads.   Headers
  50.    advertising this board are not added to libraried files, and
  51.    no files are added to the libraries.    The file uploaded may be
  52.    reformatted to reduce size, but nothing is changed inside.

  54. GETTING MORE TIME.  You get 10 extra minutes between midnight and 6am,
  55.    uploads should be rewarded with extra time, or make a donation.

  57. MAILING SOFTWARE.  Sysop does not mail software.  Too busy.
  58.    Software clubs like CPCUG do a much better job than I would.

  60. PRIVACY OF MESSAGES.  Sysop reserves right to read all mail.   Private
  61.    messages will be otherwise respected.

  63. BREAKING COPY PROTECTION.  Directions on how to break (unprotects)
  64.    are/are not welcome.

  66. COMMERCIAL SOFTWARE EXCHANGE (Piracy).  Do not upload or exchange
  67.    commercial software.  Authors deserve compensation.  If they insist
  68.    on payment before you can try their software, so be it.
