  5. RBBS-PC is proud to be one the few bulletin programs that releases
  6. source code.  This is the read me file for the BASIC source code
  7. for RBBS-PC version 17.3.  It should be a part of RBBS-BAS.ZIP,
  8. containing the following files:

  10. NOTE: All files are in the SOURCE subdirectory.

  31. RBBS-PC Version CPC17.3 is distributed via three mandatory and four
  32. optional standard "ZIP" files.   Two sets of merges are available but
  33. not automatically distributed.

  52. Simply uncompress the first three files and follow the instruction in the
  53. RBBS-PC documentation entitled, "Installing RBBS-PC for the First Time."

  55. For those who have never operated an electronic bulletin board before,
  56. we suggest getting Bantam Books' "The Complete Electronic Bulletin Board
  57. Starter Kit" by Charles Bowen and David Peyton (ISBN 0-553-34552-4).
  58. RBBS-PC's documentation is only a "reference" and is not nearly as good
  59. a learning guide for new SYSOP's.  However, the book only covers RBBS-PC
  60. version 15.1C, and therefore does not cover new features.  Version 17.3
  61. is downward compatible with the system files of 15.1C.
