  4. To all registered RACE users:

  6. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I found it necessary to change the
  7. key routines in RACE as of version 1.52.
  8.  
  9. What this means is that if you received a key number for RACE prior to
  10. November 30th, 1991, or if this key number starts with a letter 'C', your
  11. key number is no longer valid.  This does NOT mean you are no longer a
  12. registered user, only that you must get a new key number.
  13.  
  14. If you are a registered RACE user and have netmail capabilities, send me
  15. netmail ASAP for the least delay in getting your new key.
  16.  
  17. I will NOT be SENDING new keys via netmail to anyone but you are more than
  18. welcome to pick up your key via netmail from my system.
  19.  
  20. I will be waiting approximately 2 weeks for all registered users to contact
  21. me.  The registered users that have not responded by that time will be sent
  22. their key info by postcard.  Please allow a few weeks AFTER the two week
  23. buffer before contacting me asking where your key is.

  25. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience this change has caused, but it
  26. was in the best interest of protecting RACE =and= those users of RACE that
  27. have supported it by registering.
