  35.      Ok,  here we go again, with one little, simple, Quickbbs  2.75  utility  !
  36. How  about  something  that  will  take  care of your NEWUSER.ASW questionnaire
  37. answer file (or whatever you  call  it) and will purge users that are no longer
  38. in  your  USERS.BBS ?  Impossible you say, nobody has  the  same  .Q-A  file...
  39. Well, read on !

  41.      This  treasure  of  a program is, as always, completely free.  It does not
  42. requier any kind of registration.   You  cannot  however  modify in any way the
  43. original archive or files.  If you do, a spell will be cast upon you, that will
  44. alter  the  behavior  of  the  McFee's  virus scanner.  As a result, it will no
  45. longer search for 681 viruses,  but  instead  will  toss every one of them into
  46. your system...  Say, you wouln't what that, wouln't you ?  (It's a joke !)

  48.      I do  not  offer any kind of warranty.  If you ever decide  to  use  QANU,
  49. well,  you  do  it on your own.  If it breaks anything, you can keep the broken
  50. parts.  If that makes you feel any  better,  I've been using it for the past 15
  51. minutes without any damage to my NEWUSER.ASW file.  :-)

  74.      As  a  fellow SysOp, I know  that  a  short  and  sweet  documentation  is
  75. necessary to our mental health.  Again, a recent  scientific  study  has  shown
  76. that 9 out of 10 SysOp try to use a program without reading the docs...  Please
  77. read on, it's for your own good !

  79.      Simply run QANU.EXE with no  command line parameters to know how it works.
  80. You  must run it from your Quickbbs directory, the  one  with  your  USERS.BBS.
  81. Give QANU the name of your NEWUSER.ASW file, and here it goes.  QANU will check
  82. every entry in your .ASW file  against the name of your users in USERS.BBS, and
  83. will purge those who aren't in it.

  86.                                *** IMPORTANT ***
  87.  
  88.      What QANU does in fact, is checking for the string  '**  '  put before the
  89. user  name,  and purges everything up to the next '** ' if the users name isn't
  90. found in the USERS.BBS.  So for the program to work, you :

  92.      - MUST have a <PostInfo> command  in  your NEWUSER.Q-A at the beginning of
  93. each user record.  That puts the line '** Remy Gendron  answered on the ...' in
  94. the record.

  96.      - MUST  NOT  have  any  lines  in  the user record that starts with '** ',
  97. except for the first one.

  100.      And don't worry !  If you  have  something  before  the users' records, it
  101. will be left there... it won't be purged !
