- in case of a Hard Disk or System Failure.
-
- The tapes that this drive uses will hold 40 to 60 meg of compressed files
- The tapes are called Quarter Inch Cartridge (QIC).
-

- (2). will view the files that the SysOp has backed up
- on the tape for the caller to restore.
-
- (3). This will Prompt You For a file name to restore to
- the Hard Disk For you to download. A Wildcard character
- will of * or ? will not be allowed in the filename, this
- is so the caller does not restore the 60 meg of tape.
-
- The program tape door does not write to a display
- so you won't be able to see the file in the bbs BUT
- in most cases you can open and View the file after it
- has been restored, as well as download.
-
- Next it will prompt you for a Volume number, when the files
- are backed up it writes to a new Volume Each time the Sysop
- puts files on a the tape. the Tape Drive Software defaults
- to the First Volume # of 1 and is not needed, but all other
- Volumes will need its number.
