  1. What's new in Shut The Box 2.1:

  3.  - Fixed an error with CTS routines.  Some systems with high speed modems
  4.    were having problems with screen garbage.  This was due to CTS routines
  5.    not functioning properly.

  7. What's new in Shut The Box 2.0:
  8.  
  9.  - IMPORTANT!!  The data structure for 2.0 has changed.  Please read the
  10.    upgrade instructions below.  The command line parameters have also
  11.    changed.  Please see SHUTBOX.DOC for command line parameter syntax.

  13.  - Added make up days!!!  This was real fun, let me tell ya.  To do this
  14.    required the addition of a calendar for each user record.  A conversion
  15.    program has been provided so that you don't have to nuke your data files
  16.    and start the competition over again.

  18.    Here's how to upgrade:
  19.  
  20.    o Make a backup copy of SHUTBOX.DAT and SHUTBOX.DTE (just in case).
  21.    o Change to the directory containing the SHUTBOX files.  The program
  22.      SHUTUP.EXE should also reside in the same directory.
  23.    o Execute the conversion utility SHUTUP.EXE.
  24.    o Once conversion is complete, DO NOT execute SHUTUP.EXE again.  To be
  25.      safe, you may want to delete it.

  27.    That's all that's required to upgrade Shut The Box.  Keep in mind though,
  28.    the program has no way of knowing who played on what days prior to the
  29.    conversion.  So, all days prior to the date you upgrade are NOT available
  30.    to the players as make up days.  However, from that point on, the program
  31.    will track player calendars.

  33. What's new in Shut The Box 1.10:

  35.  - Fixed a bug in help file display where screen was not pausing consistently.

  37.  - Fixed a nasty bug where if user ran out of time or dropped carrier before
  38.    Shut The Box read the user's player data the user's score was getting
  39.    trashed.

  41.  - Cleaned up some redundant cursor positioning.

  43. What's new in Shut The Box 1.0:

  45.  - First release after 3 betas.  Shut The Box is the first JPSoft door to
  46.    accept a registration number rather than a registration key file.

  48.  - Shut The Box allows a user to adopt the door.  If a user of your BBS
  49.    adopts the door, you will be instructed how to include a credit when you
  50.    receive your registration number.

  52.  - Throughout the beta test, ANSI sequences have been optimized.  No bugs
  53.    were reported throughout the beta test.
