;This file contains all of the combat strings used in LOD. (These strings
;used to be in the MONSTER.DEF file but were moved here)

;The strings are seperated into several "groups" which define what actions
;the strings apply to. A new group is designated by the word "NEWGROUP".
;Then you must use the "INCLUDE" parameter to specify what actions will
;be included. The format for include is as follows:

;        :: :---- Attacker Code

;The Action code can be any of the following:

;        HH - Hand (unarmed) hit
;        HM - Hand Miss

;        WH - Short range weapon hit
;        WM - Short range weapon miss
;        WA - Short range weapon hit armor
;        RH - Ranged weapon hit
;        RR - Ready Ranged weapon

;The two attacked/defender codes are as follows:

; 0 - Applies to all attacks; Monsters, other players, etc. except for player.
; 1 - The user
; 2 - Another player
; 3 - Animal monsters - Rats, Vultures, etc
; 4 - Humanoid monsters - Death warrior, Bart, etc

; 5-99 are sysop-definable. You may use them for whatever you want.

You pause  for a moment to catch your breath, missing a vital chance to attack.
Exhausted from combat, you change your mind and take a moment's pause to regain your strength.

Screaming in pain, %2 drops to the ground, your %3 withdrawing bloodily!!
Somersaulting behind %2, you unleash your %3, slicing %2 just below the neck.
Unsheathing your %3, %2 frowns, just before you bury it in %0 stomach.
%2 screams into the night, as your %3 carves a nice hole in %2.
With finesse and skill, you smash %2 with your %3.
Your %3 nearly detaches %2's head from %0 shoulders.

In your haste, you forgot to place your hit, and miss %2 by a mile.

You want some of that armor, as your %3 is not able to penetrate it.
Hoping you are not getting weaker, your %3 just scratches %2's armor.
Damn %3, you think as it slides off of %2's armor.
%2 laughs at your %3, as it fails to penetrate %0 armor.
You strike against %2's armor, hoping it will give way to soft flesh.
Although it's powerful, your %3 hardly even scratches %2's armor.

%2 spasms fiercely as your %5 busts through %0 cranium, exposing %0 brains.
With unerring precision the burst from your %5 hits %2's body, contorting %0 features.

Your %5 spews fire, as a burst from it connects with %2's shoulder, crushing it.
You accidently trigger your %5 reaching for your %3, shooting %2 in the foot.
The %5 jerks mightily, as it nearly blows away half of %2's body!!!

Without hesitation, you prime your %5, catching %2 right between the eyes.
%5s do much damage when weilded correctly, and yours almost shatters %2's spine.

With a mighty spasm, %1 falls to the ground holding %9 back and yelling.
Running at you, %1 trips and falls, losing yet another chance to harm you.

Instantaneously, %1 pulls %9 %5 out and finds you in his sights!!!
