  5.         Welcome to the world of "The Fictitious Stock Exchange".  "The
  6.         Fictitious Stock Exchange" is not really a game.  Instead, it
  7.         is a simplistic simulation of the stock market.
  8.  
  9.         You will be given the opportunity here to make a fortune and
  10.         become a great tycoon.  You will be trading in stocks and bonds
  11.         and will have the opportunity to sell short when you anticipate
  12.         a bad market.
  13.  
  14.         In this simulation, a day will represent the equivalent of a
  15.         week of real time.  Each month will represent a year.  It is
  16.         obvious that the mathmatics of this do not quite balance, but
  17.         again this is a simple simulation and these figures make the
  18.         bookeeping more simple.
  19.  
  20.         This game is ANSI menu driven.  You will need to set your NumLock
  21.         key so that your numeric keypad will produce numbers instead of
  22.         cursor movements which your modem program would intercept.  Use
  23.         the UpArrow (8) and DownArrow (2) keys to move through the menus.
  24.         Use either the ENTER key or the SPACE BAR to select a menu option.
