  5.  FAX-DOOR will automatically set up an account for you.  Using FAX-DOOR
  6.  you may FAX any ASCII document to a local FAX machine, FREE!
  7.  
  8.  If you wish to FAX long distance, you must apply for Long Distance
  9.  access.  A minimum pre-payment of $10.00 will establish Long Distance
  10.  access with 5 credits.  A "credit" is a page.  The door automatically
  11.  keeps track of your credits, and will not allow you to fax long distance
  12.  if you run out.

  14.  Should you exceed your prepaid page limit, the door will suspend your
  15.  FAXing privileges until you pay your outstanding balance.  Overdue
  16.  accounts will find their expiry dates adjusted.

  18.  FAX-DOOR can Fax standard ASCII files, like those created with a text
  19.  editor like Qedit.  If you are using a wordprocessor, you should save
  20.  your file in ASCII format.

  22.  FAX-DOOR will create your own personal dialing directory of 10 entries
  23.  to make your FAXing quicker.  You may also enter a number of your choice
  24.  without adding it to your personal dialing directory.

  26.  FAX-DOOR sends a short covering letter, indicating who the Fax should be
  27.  delivered to, who the Fax is from, and today's date.  This does count as
  28.  a page that can charged against you if you do Long Distance faxing.  If
  29.  you dialed a number from your Dialing Directory the TO: field will be
  30.  automatically pulled from the directory entry.  If you entered a manually
  31.  entered number, you will be asked to input a name.

  33.  The steps involved to send a FAX are:

  35.  1) Upload the file you wish to be FAXed.  This file must be in ASCII
  36.     format.
  37.  
  38.  2) Call up the Dialing Directory and select a phone number from your
  39.     personal directory or enter a new number.
  40.  
  41.  3) FAX-DOOR will actually exit and send your Fax while you wait.  Please
  42.     be PATIENT!  Once the Fax has completed its duties, you will be advised
  43.     of the transfer status, your personal account will be updated, and any
  44.     leftover files will be deleted.  At this point, you are back in the door
  45.     and may upload another file to FAX or Quit back to the BBS.
