- LEGAL JUNK, REGISTRATION INFORMATION
-
- The authors of this program are in no way responsible
- for any damages (physically or mentally, financially or in any
- other way, shape or form) caused by the use, misuse, abuse,
- and/or non-use of this program.
-
- Basically, the only guarantee we give you about the
- operation of this program is that it works (most of the time)
- on our computers. It might on yours (who knows, anything's
- possible!).
-
- If it does happen to work on your system and after a
- one month trial period you want to continue using this program,
- you must register the program with the author. Print out the
- registration form, fill it out, and mail it as well as the
- modest $10US registration fee (non-business/governmental use)
- in the form of a check or money order to:
-
- Greg Hartle
- 614 E. Riverside Ave.
- San Angelo, Texas 76905-7821
-
- The registration form is REGISTER.TXT, or BUS-GOVT.TXT
- for use in business and government environments. Be sure the
- sysop name and system name you provide on the registration form
- have proper capitalization, exactly as you want them displayed.
-
- In exchange for this registration fee, you will
- receive the following:
-
- o A warmth all over with the knowledge that YOU supported the
- shareware concept which allows potential users to "try
- before they buy", not to mention your show of support of my
- programming efforts, necessary for me to feel that I haven't
- been wasting much of my free time.
- o A keycode which will allow you to continue legally running
- the current version of Arena Warrior, as well as any bug
- fix updates, available for download on the author's BBS. It
- may also work with future major version changes. If not,
- then you will be given a $10US credit toward upgrading to
- the new version. I don't plan to increase the price any
- time soon.
- o A notice to each user upon entering that you have registered
- Arena Warrior. This is the only physical difference between
- registered and unregistered copies. This program is NOT
- crippleware!

- SUGGESTIONS
-
- The referee (sysop) functions within the program are
- pretty self-explanatory. Following are some suggestions for
- running the game.
-
- If the Arena Warrior players are very active, it's a
- good idea to lower the turn length to 1 day, so that the game
- develops more quickly. Remember, turns are however many days
- you set or until all managers (users) have played, whichever
- comes first.
-
- It might be a good idea to set up a message area for
- this game. It's a great way for managers to threaten other
- players, make enemies/feuds, and exchange strategies.
-
- Sometimes a player will have some really lousy luck
- and get a team of wimps. You can usually tell this by looking
- at the team ranking and warrior ranking. If a team has fought
- at least 20 battles and has won fewer than 30% of them, you
- might want to delete their team (with their approval) to let
- them start a new one.
-
- Special local command keys:
- ALT-C: break in to chat with users
- ALT-H: help - lists these local commands
- ALT-X: exit the program immediately
