- ANSi Art Gallery 3.0 Beta
- Documentation
-
- NOTE: ANSi Art Gallery requires the ANSI.SYS device driver to be installed.
- Not dependent on a fossil driver.
- New Features! Revised!
-
- How to Install:
-
- 1. Make a new directory called ANSIART in your main BBS directory.
-
- 2. Copy the files ANSIART.EXE, ANSIDAT.ANS, 1(ANSi file), and DSZ.COM into
- ANSIART.
- NOTE: Required files! They all must be present.
-
- 3. Inside ANSIART, make a configuration file called ANSI.CFG. This will
- specify whether or not you want to validate files yourself. Put a Y if
- you want to validate files. That means that each time a file is uploaded
- using ANSi Art Gallery, it will not be accessible to all the users until
- validated by the sysop(renaming x.NEW to x). Registered versions have a
- special function that will validate files for sysops. See Registration
- Information for details. If you do not make a ANSI.CFG,
- then the default will be Y. Put a N if you don't want to validate files.
- NOTE: The unregistered version of ANSi Art Gallery will only accept up to
- 10 ANSi's.
-
- REGISTERED VERSIONS ONLY:
- 4. Using your favorite text editor, load SYSOP.LST. Put all the user
- names that will be able to access the Sysop Functions(% in main menu).
- If the user is not in the sysop.lst file, the [%][Sysop Functions] will
- not be displayed and cannot be accessed.
- Sample SYSOP.LST(Not case-sensitive):
-
- Roger Hu
- Sysop
-
- 5. Load your AUTOEXEC.BAT and add the
- following line:
- DSZPORT=x
- where x stands for your com port number(e.g. 1(COM1), 2(COM2), 3(COM3)
- Ex. DSZPORT=2 <--Com Port 2
-
- Parameters are as follows:
- ANSIART <information file>
-
- Ex. ANSIART C:\BBS\PCBOARD.SYS
-
- ANSi Art Gallery, supports many bbs systems. If the bbs system you are running
- can support at least on of the following files, then ANSi Art Gallery should
- work with:
- DOOR.SYS Ex. TAG
- CALLINFO.BBS Ex. WILDCAT!
- DORINFOx.DEF Ex. RBBS-PC, QUICKBBS
- PCBOARD.SYS Ex. PCBoard
- That's it!
