  3. Note:  There must be a 'FILES=25' statement in file C:\CONFIG.SYS. The number
  4.   of files must be at least 25.  If you need to change the value, simply edit
  5.   the file with your word processor.
  6.  
  7. To make WPMerger easier to access you can:
  8.   ∙ place a 'c:\wpm' in your 'path=...' statement
  9.        (located in file C:\AUTOEXEC.BAT)
  10.   ∙ delete file c:\WPM.BAT.
  11.   (see your DOS reference manual for more specific information about PATHs)

  13. Sample databases OFFICE and ADDRESS have been provided to help first time
  14.   users become more familiar with WPMerger.  Database ADDRESS is an example of
  15.   how a friends and family database might be designed.  OFFICE can be used as
  16.   a sample office database.

  18. The following merge documents are sample reports to be used with database
  19.   OFFICE.  They illustrate the merge commands necessary to merge data from a
  20.   merge data file with a word processor merge document to create a report.

  30. Also included with this install is a SAMPLE SHAREWARE DISTRIBUTOR DATABASE.
  31.   This database is not a complete list of nationwide distributors by any
  32.   means, but has been included to demonstrate how WPMerger can be used to
  33.   generate mailing lists.  The SamplLtr documents can easily be modified to
  34.   be used with this database.  To use them simply delete references to fields
  35.   Saluation, Add2. MName and Gen (these fields do not exist in the database.

  37. An ASCII (text) file called WPMMAN.TXT located in the program directory
  38.   (C:\WPM) is a program manual that can be viewed or printed using your
  39.   word processor.  Load the file into your word processor as a text file,
  40.   not as a word processing document.

  42. To execute WPMerger simply enter: WPM
  43.   and press the enter key
