- Welcome to Roadways PC version 2.54. Here are some new changes you'll
- find of interest:
-
- There is now a 24 hour computer bulletin board available for registered
- users to ask questions and get technical help about Roadways PC. Just call
- the following number, select [J]oin Conference from the main menu, and
- select conference number 5. Once in the conference, you may leave a
- message for Doug Fitler (make sure you spell the name right or it will tell
- you I don't exist!):
-
- (618)233-6982
-
- Set your communications program for 2400 baud, 8 data bits, No parity
- and 1 stop bit (otherwise known as 2400,N,8,1).
- Even if you are not a registered user, you may call and download the
- latest version of Roadways PC at any time, but you must be registered to be
- guaranteed an answer to any questions you may have. The latest version of
- Roadways will always be posted on this board and can be downloaded at any
- time.
- A registration program has been added to make bypassing the copyright
- screen easier. After sending in your registration fee and receiving the code
- to register your copy of Roadways PC, use the following method to 'register'
- your copy of Roadways PC on your computer:
-
- 1. After you finish running INSTALL, if you are a registered user, you
- should type REGISTER and hit <enter>.
-
- 2. Follow the instructions on the screen to fully register your copy of
- Roadways. You will need the code found in your letter of registration
- to deactivate the copyright screen.
-
- 3. One further note: if you change computers or at some point wind up
- getting the copyright screen again, you can re-run REGISTER. For this
- reason, it's a good idea to keep the registration code available
- somewhere.
-
- This version has improved help features, scrolling route screen and
- menu's that can be dropped down with either a mouse or by pressing the ALT
- key.
- Another nice feature is the addition of a hard disk installation
- program. This is part of the INSTALL program.
- To print the documentation, simply type PRINTDOC at the DOS prompt and
- make sure your printer is online and has at least 25 sheets of paper
- available.
- Thank you for your interest in Roadways PC. I look forward to hearing
- from you!
