  7. This is just a quick README file.  The purpose of this
  8. software is to provide emergency services personnel with
  9. vital information before arriving on a scene.  ONCALL is
  10. designed to be simple to use so that the first person
  11. through the door is able to get at the information.

  13. DATA ENTRY
  14.  
  15. The data is obtained by distributing residential
  16. questionairres.  A sample questionairre is provided with
  17. this package.  What we did is obtain the tax list from our
  18. town officials and entered everyone's name, address and
  19. phone number.  We were then able to determine who had not
  20. returned their questionairre and we could do another more
  21. precise mailing.

  23. PASSWORD

  25. A password is required to gain access to the utilities that
  26. will alter the data.  Searching and retrieving data does not
  27. require a password.  The password on the demo version is
  28. "oncall" (no quotes, lowercase).

  30. DEMO VERSION

  32. The only limitation on this demo version is that the record
  33. limit is set at 25 records.  So search speed will be
  34. affected on the licensed version as more records are added.
  35. Our database currently has about 1000 records and the
  36. performance is excellent.

  38. DEMO DATA

  40. John Doe has a completly full data record.  It got boring
  41. really quickly to make up dummy data, so other records may
  42. have many blanks.  Please take a look at John Doe's data to
  43. see the "full effect" of the software.

  45. PURCHASING INFORMATION

  47. I have been selling this package for $795 which includes the
  48. licensed version of ONCALL and comprehensive manual (not a
  49. hack job, I had it professionally done (big money!! ouch!)).
  50. If you order before September 1, 1992 (so I can pay tuition)
  51. I'll offer it for $500(U.S.).  I am willing to customize the
  52. software to suit your needs, it may cost more depending on
  53. the alterations.
