- LEARN BY DOING EXERCISES

- Fastfile comes with sample files already programmed and ready to
- use. All you must do is figure out how to move the cursor, enter
- data, and enter commands. A MENU IS ALWAYS DISPLAYED (IN
- RED) AT THE BOTTOM OF EACH SCREEN. WHEN SEARCHES ARE SPECIFIED
- THE SELECTION SPECIFIERS (*WLD ?ANY >, etc) ARE DISPLAYED AS THE
- SECOND LINE FROM THE BOTTOM. Always keep your eyes on these
- continuous help menu's. Several learn by doing exercises are provided
- to give you experience. Each exercise starts with step (a) and
- proceeds through the alphabet. You should be able to work all
- exercises in a few minutes.

- The sample file FASTquiz includes questions with answers that
- will save you time. So please work the following exercises even
- though you may not have a need to make tests.

- FASTquiz has special scrambling features, and allows multiple
- choice, TRUE/FALSE, and essay questions. You may even create a
- MATCHING test from the list of questions.

- exercises below assume you have worked the checks exercises and
