- Use the arrow keys to select a
- disk category and press enter.
- To add a new category, press INS.
- To delete a disk category, select
- one and press the DEL key.

- Disk form help screen
- The disk form procedure is called from any sort or search table. To
- add a disk press the Ins key. To edit a disk, use the arrow keys or
- the page up and down keys to select a disk and press enter.
- Enter the information for the title field and press enter. Continue
- entering information for each field. You are not required to enter
- information for every track. Required fields are the 'title' field and
- the 'media' field.
- When you get to the 'category' field, a pop-up window will give you
- a table showing the choices. At this time you may add a category by
- pressing the Ins key. Use the arrow keys to select a category and
- press 'enter'.
- Press Ctrl-T when you are in the disk form to call the Track table.
- Press Ctrl-Enter to accept a screen from anywhere in the form. This
- allows for faster entry of data without having to press the enter key
- numerous times. Press Ctrl-Esc to reject the entire form information
- from anywhere in the form.
- Press Enter for more help, Esc to return to program

- The program will find any occurance any where in the
- field. For example:
- 'Burton' would find 'Gary Burton'
- Upper and lower case are important! For example:
- 'Bach' would find 'Bach' and 'Bachman' but not 'Herschbach'

- This procedure will print sorted by a user definable field. You

- Print Valuation Help
- This procedure will print a complete list of your collection
- and a calculation of it's value. In order for the total field
- to function, you must have recorded your price paid for the disk
- in the Disk Information screen.

- Sort Menu Help
- The sort procedures allows you to sort your collection
- by a variety of fields of the disk information. Use the
- arrow keys to make your choice and press Enter.

- Search Menu Help
- The search procedures allows you to 'look up' a disk by
- entering a 'search string' of characters. Use the arrow
- keys to select which field of the disk information you
- will use to find a disk. You will then be asked to enter
- the search string. The exception to this is the 'Find
- a Track' and Search by Track User Definable fields
- procedures. This allows you to find which disk have a
- particular track title on them. Since track information
- is an optional feature, you may not be able to use this
- procedure.

- Add a Disk Procedure Help Screen
- The add a disk procedure is the same procedure as the Sort by Title
- from the Sort Menu. Actually, you can add or edit a disk from any
- search or sort procedure.
- The locator field provides rapid placement of the cursor bar. Pressing
- a keystroke will immediately position the cursor bar to the record in
- the table with a value closest to the value keyed. Pressing additional
- keystrokes will cause the cursor bar to be repositioned each time to
- the record which is closest to the value keyed.
- To edit, place the selection bar on the desired disk and press 'Enter'.
- To add a disk press the 'Ins' key. To delete a disk, place the cursor
- bar on the desired disk and press the 'F3' key.

- keys to scroll rapidly.

- Search Procedure Help Screen
- Search procedures allow you to find a particular disk in
- your collection by entering a 'search string' of characters
- to look for.
- Enter the search string in the field at the top of the
- screen. You need not enter the complete title or name. If
- the string matches any part of the field, you will get a
- list of disks that match. You may then select a disk to
- view or edit by using the cursor keys, and press enter.
- Upper and Lower case are important! For example, entering
- 'Bach' on the search string line would find 'J.S. Bach',
- but not 'Herschbach'.
- If the search string does not find a match, a disk form
- will pop-up and you will be prompted to add a record. If
- you do not wish to add a record, press Esc.

- Track information is an optional feature of CD-Profile.
- Entering track information gives you a powerful tool to use
- for searching for which disks have a certain track title.
- This is particularly good for classical collections where
- you may have several versions of a piece of music.

- Track Table Help
- The track table shows the track information for a disk. This
- procedure can be called anytime from the disk form procedure
- by holding the CTRL key down and pressing T (CTRL T).
- The first time you call the track procedure for a disk, you will
- be prompted that 'Record Will Be Added'. Type the first track
- number and press enter. Type the track title and press enter.
- You will then be returned to the track table. To add another
- track record press the Ins key. Tracks will be sorted by track
- number. You may also enter duplicate tracks with same number but
- with different titles. This is helpful for tracks on a disk that
- have more than one title. The limit on tracks for any one disk
- is 99.
- Track information can be accessed from the search procedures.

- User Defined Field Help
- This is a user defined field. You can change the name of the
- the user fields from the main menu procedure 'Change User
- Defined Fields'. When you change the name of a user defined
- field, the new name will be used for all forms and print
- procedures.
- These user defined fields can be searched from the search menu,
- or you can sort your collection by these fields.
