- LOCATIONS OF MONTHLY ARCHIVES OF SGDB REPORTS
- -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-
- This BCAST software package processes daily Solar Geophysical Data
- Broadcast (SGDB) reports and builds a database of the information contained
- within these reports. All software presently available and planned future
- software releases will rely on the database created and maintained by the
- BCAST program, for proper operation.
-
- Directly processable archives of SGDB reports for every day since this
- service became operational (September 4, 1991), are available from a number
- of sources.
-
- - From the Solar Terrestrial Dispatch Computer BBS (STD BBS), in the
- "Solar Reports & Reviews" file section of the BBS. The SGDB
- reports are also made available daily on this system under the
- main menu heading "Daily Summary". The STD BBS may be contacted by
- dialing: 403 756-3008. Area code 403 belongs to Alberta, Canada.
-
- - For those with access to the Internet with FTP access, the daily
- reports may be anonymously FTP'd on a daily basis from the site:
- xi.uleth.ca (IP number 142.66.3.29) in the directory:
- "pub/solar/daily". Monthly reports for 1991 are also available in
- the directory "pub/solar/1991" under the filenames "sgdb-xxx.zip"
- where "xxx" is the first three characters of the month.
-
- - The data may also be anonymously FTP'd from: solar.stanford.edu
- in the appropriate "pub" subdirectory.
-
- - The anonymous FTP site: nic.funet.fi also acts as an archive
- center for this material.
-
- - The SGDB reports may also be available from other sources, such as
- CompuServe, local BBS's, or packet radio network BBS's around the
- world.
