- Changes in Encrypt-It v1.3 for Windows provides the following over v1.2:
-
- - Windows multi-tasking and full user interaction is now supported from the
- status boxes. You can stop the on-going encryption/decryption process or
- even switch to another application with Encrypt-It continuing to work in
- the background.
- - Added graphic percentage status boxes for multiple file operations.
- - Expanded the keyboard interface for the graphic file histogram display.
- Encrypt-It now loads a keyboard accelerator table to allow you to use
- keyboard PgUp, PgDn, Esc, and F1 keys in addition to the normal menu picks.
- - Added the trailing three ...s to menu items that had a secondary menu.
- If there isn't a secondary menu, then the ...s are left off.
- - Standardized all the push buttons to the same size where possible. This
- makes Encrypt-It for Windows a little easier to use since the user
- interface is the same throughout the program. Also standardized their
- order. The order is OK-Cancel-Help with OK always on the left or top.
- We now conform more closely to the Common User Access (CUA) guidelines.
- - Starting with v1.3, we include the $10 optional hard copy manual with
- registration. The manual is over 50 pages long, desktop published with
- extensive graphics, laser printed, bound, and contains lots of additional
- program usage information.
- - Minor bug fixes and corrections.
-
- Changes in Encrypt-It v1.31 for Windows provides the following over v1.30:
-
- - Added additional code to catch the error condition where you may try to
- encrypt a zero length file. DOS will allow you to create a file without
- anything in it. Also added code for zero length statistics handling.
- - Improved the handling of international characters in paths, filenames,
- and keys.
- - Improved the handling of PgUp and PgDn while viewing file statistics.
-
- Changes in Encrypt-It v1.32 for Windows provides the following over v1.31:
-
- - Corrected a problem with the file statistics viewing where Alt+N for the
- next file could under rare conditions also call up the help screen.
- - Added a file called VENDORS.DOC to list additional sources for Encrypt-It.
- - Corrected a problem where Encrypt-It wasn't correctly picking up the
- destination name from the encrypt multiple files dialog box. If you
- typed in a name other than the default destination file name, Encrypt-It
- should of used it for the name of the first encrypted file.
- - Other minor touchups to work better under the new Windows 3.1 upgrade.
